By downloading, installing, or using Halves (the iOS app or the website halves.app), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
Halves is a shared task management app for two people (couples, roommates, co-founders). You can create groups, add tasks, and assign them to each other. All data is stored in your iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit.
We may update Halves or these Terms from time to time. If we make important changes, we will update the "Last updated" date and describe key changes in the app or on the website. Your continued use after changes means you accept them.
Halves does not require email signup or passwords. You authenticate through your Apple ID / iCloud account. You are responsible for keeping your Apple ID and iCloud account secure and for all activity under that account.
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Halves for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not:

All rights in Halves (including the app, website, and branding) belong to the developer. You do not gain ownership of the app or its features by using it. Any content you create inside Halves (tasks, groups, notes) is yours, but you grant us a limited license to store and sync it via iCloud for the purpose of providing the service.
Your task and group data is stored in your iCloud account. You are responsible for managing your iCloud storage, backups, and sharing settings. We do not manage or control iCloud; Apple's iCloud terms apply to your data there.
Halves is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, expressed or implied. We make no guarantees that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. You use Halves at your own risk.
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of Halves. Our total liability, if any, is limited to the amount you paid us in the last 12 months (Halves is currently free, so this would be zero). Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, death, or personal injury caused by negligence.
You may stop using Halves at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or misuse the app. If we terminate your access, we will not compensate you for loss of data or use, since your data remains in your iCloud account.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Sweden. If a dispute arises, it will be resolved in the courts of Goteborg, Sweden, unless required by law to be handled differently.
